Dr. Surabhi Garg, President

Dr. Surabhi Garg is the founder of Americon. Dr. Garg is a distinguished leader in Management Consulting, Technology Transfer and Business Development. She has been working with a diverse array of industry sectors, such as biotechnology, healthcare, education, manufacturing, information technology, hi-tech and renewable energy. Dr. Garg received the accolade 'Woman of the Year' by the Ind-US Business Journal. She served to US and Indian companies engaged in US-India trade and investment. She is one of the founding members and served on the leadership team at the US India Political Action Committee (USINPAC). Dr. Garg has the experience of organizing and leading over 20 trade and political delegations to India with extensive business match-making events and meetings in past 10 years. Dr. Garg has worked closely with the highest levels at US Federal Agencies, US Congress, State Governors and State Agencies. She has also worked with top Indian Industry leaders, Indian Central Government Ministers, and Indian State Government leadership.

Dr. Garg holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from NICED (National Institute of Cholera & Enteric Diseases), a WHO (World Health Organization) affiliate in India. She completed her postdoctoral studies at the International Medical Center of Japan, Tokyo and at the University of Maryland, College Park, USA. Dr. Garg earned her undergraduate degree in Human Physiology from Presidency College, Kolkata, India. For past 17 years she is residing in Washington DC Metro area.

Dr. Surabhi Garg served for ten (10) years as a news show anchor and broadcaster for Voice of America, International Broadcasting Bureau, Washington DC. She is a frequent speaker at business conferences and political events.
